1) Gather Me - Melanie (1971)
I was given Melanie's vinyl record "Gather me" as a gift a few years ago and recently listened to it with my sister's record player. Some of my favorites on her album are "Little

Bit of Me," "Ring the Living Bell," and "Someday I'll Be a Farmer." "Little Bit of Me" is raw, real, and emotional. This song is a roller coaster ride that everyone should experience. "Ring
the Living Bell" is a compelling and powerful song, I felt that the intensity Melanie's singing matches her lyrics amazingly. "Someday I'll Be a Farmer" is a song I really love but have yet to decipher. Although I hope to eventually.
2) Hard To Be Alone - EP - Barns Courtney (7/2020)

This EP has a beautiful simplicity. Each song is produced with an acoustic guitar and natural harmonies. My favorite song on this EP is "Home." To me, this song is a tribute to writing. We all have an origin story of where our writing careers began. I believe this song embodies a writer's creative space they will always consider "home."
3) Acting My Age - EP - The Academic (7/2020)
I found this album reminded me of a period when you realize you're not a kid anymore. When you wake up and suddenly feel the weight of responsibility for yourself and others, realizing your age and how you need to start behaving. I think each song speaks to a different experience associated with adulthood. Whether that be communicating in a relationship, handling people with the opposite personality of you, being out of touch with the generation younger than you, or realizing you need to let go of what you've been desperately clinging to.

Thanks for yielding!
Until next time,
Alexis
